Scene Setup
The Scene Setup panel is where a scene starts.
The graph
Section titled “The graph”With no graph in the file, the panel says No graph yet. Choose a solver above, or start from a template.
Once there is a graph, it shows:
- Graph: the name of the node tree.
- Nodes: how many nodes feed the simulation, and how many are not used. A node is unused when the active solver does not read it. For example, a Particle Emitter in a Blaze graph does nothing.
- Problems the graph validator found, each with the node’s name. Errors and warnings are red.
- Open Node Editor: opens the graph in Blender’s node editor. See The node graph editor.
Templates and My Presets
Section titled “Templates and My Presets”- Templates builds one of the built-in example scenes. See Templates.
- My Presets saves and loads your own graphs. See Graph presets.
Quick setup
Section titled “Quick setup”Three buttons turn the active mesh into a working simulation in one click. With a mesh active, the label reads Quick setup on ‘name’. See Quick setups for what each does.
| Button | Needs a mesh |
|---|---|
| Fire & Smoke | no, it creates a small sphere at the 3D cursor if none is active |
| Liquid Splash | no, same |
| Demolition | yes |
The quick setups are also in the 3D Viewport’s Add menu, under Blux Physics.
