Export
The Export panel is collapsed by default. It offers different options depending on how the result is drawn. Bake or run first: exports read cached frames.
Volume results (Blaze)
Section titled “Volume results (Blaze)”| Button | Output |
|---|---|
| OpenVDB Sequence | The cached smoke and fire frames as a .vdb sequence. |
| Export Spritesheet | A flipbook atlas for game engines. See Spritesheets. |
Until there are volume frames, the panel says Run or bake first: there are no volume frames yet.
Geometry results (particles, liquids, fracture)
Section titled “Geometry results (particles, liquids, fracture)”| Button | Output |
|---|---|
| Alembic | The cached simulation as an .abc file. Point cloud, instanced grains or the surface mesh, depending on the Output mode. |
| PLY Frame | The current frame as a Stanford PLY file. |
| PLY Sequence | All cached frames as a binary PLY point-cloud sequence. |
Archive
Section titled “Archive”| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Save .npz | Writes the cache as a compressed .npz archive. |
| Load .npz | Loads an archive into the session, for instant timeline scrubbing without re-simulating. |
See Baking and exporting for a full workflow.
